A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

Country: | Portugal |
Appellation: | Douro DOC |
History:
The history of Portugal’s fortified wine scene is well documented but nowadays, more and more winemakers are turning their hands to non-fortified wines. The range of native grapes at hand, as well as the long history in the art of blending means that the Duoro region is now producing some of the most interesting new wines out there.
Quinta Dos Avidagos is one such estate. While Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Touriga are not grapes that are familiar to all, they are pillars of what is now known as the Portuguese red blend and these producers have been working with them for 400 years.
Very classic for chill out days
