Product Availability
All products on our website are offered subject to availability. We cannot guarantee the availability of products or specific vintages, however we will always endeavour to supply the vintages as shown on the website. We are typically working with small producers who often allocate stock. In the unlikely event that the product you have selected becomes unavailable we may choose to substitute a comparable product which we believe you will be pleased to receive. In the event that the substitution is not to your satisfaction, please contact us onsupport@whelehanswines.ie o that we can try and remedy the situation. In the event that the substitution was not acceptable the course of action we will offer is an uplift of the delivered product with the issuance of the appropriate refund.
Pricing/Descriptions/Purchases
All our prices are displayed in euros € and are inclusive of VAT (23% in Ireland). We unreservedly reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any promotions, seasonal or otherwise, made available by Whelehans Wines Limited on-line are not available in conjunction with any other discounts and may differ to the offers available in –store.
We make every effort to ensure the details of the wines displayed for sale on-line are accurate. Occasionally, some errors may arise and Whelehans Wines Limited reserve the right to amend errors before processing the order. In the case that such an error arises, you the customer will be contacted and given the option to proceed or cancel the order with the benefit of the clarification. Slight variations in bottle images may occur from time to time due to changes with our suppliers or vintages etc. If you find a discrepancy in any of the details of the wine you have ordered or wish to order, please contact us for clarification. You will be given the opportunity to cancel or modify your order at that time. Be assured we are committed to offering you the very best possible wine experience.
By completing and submitting the electronic order form on the Whelehans Wines Limited website, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. By making that offer to purchase goods, you are also authorising Whelehans Wines Limited and any payment processor used by the company to pre-validate the Debit or Credit card presented for payment for the full value of the goods and related service charges contained in your basket. We will confirm acceptance of your order by email. This confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide on your order details. Whether or not you receive an email, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us and payment will be processed. We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion without furnishing a reason.
Shipping Charges
We offer free delivery for orders above €150 within Southern Ireland. Delivery charges outside this jurisdiction is €10. Please allow 5 working days for delivery (orders received before 1pm). Please note on rare occasions due to weather, mechanical failure, clerical error or other unforeseen circumstances the delivery may take longer than this, please accept our sincerest apologies. We will do our very best to ensure the scheduled delivery time is achieved. Be assured we want you to have the very best possible customer experience when dealing with Whelehans Wines Limited. Circumstances might arise in the future whereby we will be necessitated to introduce delivery charges in this event the charges will be clearly displayed on the website.
We currently do not deliver outside of the Republic of Ireland. We hope to offer an extended service in the future.
Cancellation & Returns
Should you be unhappy with any aspect of your order, please contact us so that we can do our very best to remedy the situation. Goods received should be inspected immediately for damaged or missing wines. If any wine delivered is damaged or there is a shortage in the delivery or the goods do not match those ordered please notify us as soon as possible so that we can fully investigate the situation. We will aim to find a suitable remedy the situation as quickly as we can. Failure to notify us of damaged or missing product within five working days of receiving the order may negate your right to free return and refund.
Damaged product, or wine suffering from 'cork taint', or incorrect product will be replaced or refunded. We ask customers to have the wine deemed unsatisfactory available for return. This will not affect your statutory rights.
Cooling off Period
You are entitled to a cooling-off period of 7 working days, which begins on the day after you receive delivery of your order. During the cooling-off period, you may cancel your order for any reason. Upon cancellation, we will make the necessary arrangements to facilitate the return of the order and will reimburse you within 30 days. While we are more than happy to help if you wish to return goods that are not faulty or damaged, you will be responsible for any costs incurred in returning the goods, these will be clearly communicated and will not be prohibitive.

Whelehans Wines Limited will unreservedly use its reasonable skill and resources to make sure that this site is available and operates correctly on a continual basis. However, because of the number of sources from which Whelehans Wines Limited obtains content and because of the nature of the Internet, Whelehans Wines does not give you or any third parties any other warranties for any grievances which may occur either directly or indirectly. In particular, you should not take the accuracy or availability of the information for granted and Whelehans Wines makes no warranty that the Site is free from infection by viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties. Whelehans Wines will not accept any losses or charges that may arise from interacting with this site whether direct or indirect.
Limitation of Liability
In respect of the Content that is available on this Site, Whelehans Wines Limited will use its reasonable endeavours to resolve faults. You agree that Whelehans Wines will not be responsible for any losses, harm in whatever guise presented, from interacting with this site or in the consumption of the wine supplied. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Whelehans Wines Limited is committed to protecting the privacy of those using our Site. The information that you provide about yourself to Whelehans Wines Limited will only be used by Whelehans Wines Limited and will not be supplied to third parties that are not part of the Whelehans Wines Limited data management regime.
We use ‘cookies’ to track your activities on our site. We use Google Analytics for this, and it gives us insights into how visitors use our site. This is totally anonymous and we don't track any personally identifiable information.

W Club
In accordance with the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018, from January 2021 we will no longer be permitted to issue 6% or 10% discounts when purchasing wines in store or online.
Whelehans Wines reserves the right to change this offer without notice.
Wine Subscriptions
Wine Subscriptions allow you to avail of the Whelehans Wines wine team expertise. To avail of the free joining gift you must subscribe for three deliveries or more. One-time purchase can not avail of the free joining gift. Whelehans Wines can cancel or change the free gift incentive at their own discretion. In the event of any change, this will be clearly communicated to the customer before any transaction is processed. The questionnaire, if completed, will guide the Whelehans Wines wine team in the wines they select for the subscriber. However the team reserves the right to select the wines they feel are most appropriate.
Duration of subscriptions:
The duration of the subscription is specified by the subscriber and can be amended or cancelled at any time by letting us know by the 20th of each month (approx. one week before your schedule delivery). General
There is no specific time limit applying to your access and use of the site. However, Whelehans Wines Limited reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access and use at any time or indeed to close down or suspend the site’s trading activities. It may exercise the right with or without notice. You may not assign, sub-licence or otherwise transfer this Agreement or your rights of access to the Site. Failure by either party to exercise any right or remedy under this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy. Irish law will apply to this Agreement and both you and Whelehans Wines Limited agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts. All contracts that result from the use of this website are concluded in English.

Online Offers
Whelehans Wines reserves the rights to discontinue all online offers without advice or notice. Offers are typically for define periods as indicated by the code descriptor. Online offers do not apply in store and are non transferable.
