Spanish Wine Tasting 9th of May 2017

Spanish Wine Tasting

Tuesday 9th May 7:15pm
at Whelehans Wines

We are delighted to have Leslie Williams, Wine Correspondent with the Irish Examiner joining us for a very special W Club Wine Tasting.
Kicking off with a glass of Cava, Leslie will guide you through a carefully curated selection of exciting wines from Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rias Baixas & Rueda, to include wines from our latest discovery, the Valserrano Rioja estate.
The wines will be accompanied by a selection of delicious meats & cheeses, prepared by our Chef Nick and his team.
As numbers are limited, places will be booked on a first come basis. To book your place, please email wclub@whelehanswines.ie drop by the Wine Store. We would be delighted for you to bring your friends along, by all means spread the word! We would, however, ask if you could please let us know in advance so we can make sure you are seated together on the night.

Spanish Wine Week April 24th – 30th 2017

In the Wine Bar at this week we will be pouring Valserrano Reserva Rioja and Rula Feiticeira Albarino as our Wines of the Week. In the Wine Store we will have Spanish wines on the Tasting table through the week, covering some of our favourites from the top D.O.Cs in Spain. Why not drop in and try some of these magnificent Spanish wines

Brand new vintage of an old favourite, Chateau Darzac 2015 is now in stock and drinking beautifully and modestly priced.

Chateau Le Vieux Fort 2010 Cru Bourgeois is an old school claret from a super vintage.

Chateau Senejac 2012 from Haut-Medoc is produced by the Cordier family, owners of the famous St-Julien based Chateau Talbot.
