On Saturday 21st May, David appeared on the Saturday:am Show on TV3 to explore Rosés with the summer finally arriving.
It’s that time of the year when it should be all about Rosé, and David explored it in many shapes and sizes and advised on how to weed out the good from the bad.

A great value Romanian offering. The grapes were crushed and let sit on their skins for 12-18 hours. Settled until clear then racked to stainless steel fermentation vessels. This is a crisp dry style rosé with attractive soft red fruit aromas and flavours.

This is a delicious dry organic rosé from Aix en Provence. Made from the classic grape varieties of this region Grenache 60%, Syrah 15%, Cinsault 10%, Vermentino 5%, Grenache blanc 5%, Mourvèdre 5%. It has wonderful tropical fruit aromas and flavours.

Vatan is a small and famous grower in the AC of Sancerre who is as famed for his Pinot Noir as his Sauvignon Blanc. This is a very, crisp, dry, moreish rosé made from the Pinot Noir grape.
