Summer 2018 at Whelehans Wines

We are delighted with the arrival of lots of new and exciting wines here at Whelehans Wines. From Luneau Papin our star Muscadet house there is the delicious Clos des Allées Muscadet 2016 which has been receiving rave reviews.

The wines of our new organic house Château Lou from the Rousillon are causing quite a stir with their impeccable range of rosé, rouge & blanc.

For those who are in search of the exciting and the exotic there are the wines of Château de Cabidos from the Pyrénées Atlantiques working with the Petit Manseng grape.

Our range of the classics continue to grow particularly our Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire and Rhone offering.

Heat wave wines 28 degrees+

Yes, we have it on good authority that there is a heat wave on the way next week so if you want to have some of the most exciting rosés to add to that Provençal feeling we have some wonderful offerings.  We are loving the Château de Lou Rosé 2017 and the Vatan Sancerre Rosé 2017

Last but certainly not least, we are thrilled to announce that the builders have finally left the building having completed our new Whelehans Wine School & Tasting Rooms in a world class wine tasting environment above the Wine Store.

Whelehans Wine School

David, Martina & Gavin are looking forward to introducing wines to all who have a yearning to learn, from the most recent recruits to the seasoned tasters, with courses starting in September. So lots going on! Do drop by, we look forward to seeing you.

To celebrate the launch of the new Whelehans Wines Tasting Rooms and Wine School, Whelehans Wines hosted a Wine Tasting, presided over by Steven Spurrier, instigator of the original Paris Judgement 1976. The tasting was blind and conducted under the same conditions as the original Paris Judgement.
