The Schiava grapes used in this wine are between 60 and 90 years old producing lower and higher quality yields. Ageing in large Slavonian wooden barrels result in a wine with complex red fruit aromas of raspberries, wild strawberries, cherries and redcurrants.. Elegant fine-grained tannins and a smooth fruitiness delivers a balanced and long, vigorous finish.
Influenced by both the Alps and the Mediterranean, as a wine growing region Alto Adige has a lot going for it.
