Il Molino Di Grace
There is Chinati and there is Chianti, need we say anymore! Suffice to say this definitive terroir Chianti. Although a small producer, this estate attracts significant international media attention and its wines are always ranked amongst the top. Nestled in Panzano, an area reputed for the quality of its grapes, the vineyard is farmed organically and the wines are crafted with immense care. Its first release of Gran Selezione, 2010 vintage was rated number one by Decanter Magazine and was further featured amongst Decanter’s top 50 wines of the year 2014.
Il Molino di Grace (the ‘windmill of grace’), located just south of Panzano, in the heart of Tuscany’s prestigious Chianti Classico region, produces critically acclaimed Tuscan wines that are true to both tradition and terroir. The winery is named after the Grace family as well as the historic 19th century windmill located on the property, and is anchored by the bold sculpture standing tall in front of the cantina which is illustrated on the Il Molino di Grace wine label.
"At Il Molino di Grace, we strive to produce elegant wines that are an expression of terroir through the Sangiovese grape coupled with a careful use of oak for ageing the wine. The vineyards have existed on the property for over 350 years. There is an ancient Etruscan path that winds its way through the vineyards. The history of the property is an essential component of the present and future of Il Molino di Grace."
