Jean-Charles Boisset of Buena Vista Winery visits Whelehans Wines

JCBoisset

Today we were very privileged to be visited by Jean-Charles Boisset of Buena Vista Winery (pictured here with Martina Delaney).

Founded in 1857, Buena Vista is California’s first premium winery, and its history is as colorful as it is proud. Boisset purchased Buena Vista Winery in 2011 and immediately began a significant restoration to preserve and protect the winery’s cellars and caves. In 2012, a full retrofit ensuring no visible impact to the historic character and features of the building was completed that allowed the long-closed cellars to re-open to the public.

We are extremely proud to have three shining examples of this historic winery’s wines in our store.
