We have known the LeBrun family for many years at this stage, our first encounter was at the Salons de Loire in Angers back in 2004 where after considerable tastings we were in no doubt that the wines of this estate were amongst the very best. Since then, we have followed and championed them as producers of definitive Pouilly-Fumé.
The Le Brun estate covers around 9 hectares (22 acres) in the centre of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation, stretching over the slopes of Saint-Andelain on a typical terroir of flinty clay. The first plots of Sauvignon Blanc were planted by the Lebrun family at the beginning of the 19th century. The estate’s current layout was established by Fernand and Eugénie Lebrun and true to traditon the next generation Alain and Laurent Lebrun are managinging this jewel of a property.
