A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

On first appearance, the pale golden-green hues mark it as a Sancerre. Immediate aromatic intensity with floral notes of acacia and elderflower. The palate is full with tropical grapefruit, honeydew melon and newly cut grass. Lively, fresh and with a distinctive gun smoke and chalky minerality on a lengthy finish.
Cellaring: Now to 2028
Food Pairing: Grilled swordfish, crab salad w/ asparagus, fresh goat cheese salad.
STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Historically, the Loire was the playground of France’s nobility. While that era has long gone, it could be said that the producers of Domaine de Ladoucette are a modern day version of the aristocracy. With holdings in Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, Chinon and Vouvray, few can match their reach and expertise. This Cuvée is ready to drink now, but atypically for the region, is also built with age in mind. This sets it apart from many of its peers. Sancerre continues to be a global reference point for old world Sauvignon Blanc and few know it better than this Domaine.
