A lovely fruity taste. Kept on drinking over several glasses.
heard Jean Smullen give glowing review on Moncrieff's Movies & Booze segment on Newstalk. She was spot on!
It reminds me to Burgundy. Mineral, lovely acidity, and tropical fruits.

Attractive notes of ripe red and black berries. Appealing notes of concentrated ripe fruit, accompanied by chocolate, liquorice and cocoa. The palate is a spic with a toasty background and hints of toffee and coffee. The finish is enveloping and persistent.
In 1953 Norberto Carrasco installed concrete vats at a time when there were relatively few wineries in the area. He learnt to combine concrete and wood to produce fine, fruity, mature and elegant wines. Today his grandson José Antonio Carrasco has inherited his vision for the family winery. They farm 43 hectares, of which 95% are Tempranillo with tiny amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
